Paying Rent and MyGCH
Rent is important, as the rent payments we receive fund the vital services we deliver to our customers, including repairs, home improvements and support for your communities. This is why it’s so important that your rent is paid regularly and on time and that it is the first payment you make when budgeting your money and paying your bills.
From 4th April 2022 all new and existing MyGCH users have to register for a new account.
Are you struggling to make ends meet?
Please contact us straight away if you have money problems. Once we know that there is an issue we can often help by checking that you are receiving all of the correct benefits, working out the best way of paying your rent and putting you in contact with our partners who are able to provide a range of help.
When you can pay
- Rent should be paid in advance of the payment cycle that you choose. You can pay either weekly, bi-weekly or monthly at the time of the month that works for you.
- Weekly rent is charged every Monday, a rent account will be in arrears if a payment has not been received within the week in which it falls due.
- If you are a joint tenant, both tenants are jointly liable for the rent payment. One of you is still liable, even if the other leaves the home and you are still on the tenancy.
- If you have any concerns or queries with paying your rent please contact your Income Account Officer or email income@gch.co.uk
