This week (6-10 November) is National Social Housing Safety and Compliance Week – an opportunity to come together and reaffirm our commitment to safety.
This year’s theme is “Together for Safety” and we’ll be working:
1. Together with Residents: actively engaging with residents through surveys, focus groups, and our Scrutiny Group to better understand their safety concerns.
2. Together as a Sector: collaborating regularly with our peers across the sector to share best practices.
3. Together with Colleagues: providing staff with training on safety and compliance. This training covers a range of topics, including fire safety and electrical safety.
4. Together with Authorities: working closely with local authorities to ensure we meet all health and safety requirements. And working with the Regulator of Social Housing (RSH) to ensure that all the regulatory obligations are met.
By talking about safety, we want to reassure customers that their wellbeing is our priority. Safety is a collective effort, and we encourage our community to get involved during this national awareness week.
