We are pleased to have retained our G1 grading for governance and V2 grading for financial viability following an In-Depth Assessment (IDA) by the Regulator of Social Housing.
An IDA considers how well an organisation is governed as well as its financial viability.
Our G1 status has been retained, confirming that we have the highest possible rating for governance. Our V2 grading recognises we are effectively managing the risks associated with both building new homes and investing in existing homes, in the current challenging financial climate. We are committed to building 400 new homes to help tackle housing need in Gloucester and to invest £19 million on energy efficiency improvements to ensure all homes are at least EPC C rating by 2030.
Guy Stenson, Chief Executive said: “I’m really pleased with the outcome of our recent In Depth Assessment which reflects the focus we have had over the last few years. We have strengthened our governance, creating spaces for richer conversations and customer influenced decision making, alongside a proactive drive to improve value for money and financial capacity within what we know continues to be a challenging operating environment.
“I’m incredibly proud of all our colleagues who bring passion and dedication to making a positive difference every day, committed to ensuring people can thrive and live their best lives.”
'This judgement from the Regulator of Social Housing gives us the reassurance that GCH is well placed to continue to invest in our communities in Gloucester and the surrounding area to provide a safe and warm home for all customers. We are working in line with our values towards a better, more equal society in which everyone has a place they can be proud to call home within a community where people are able to thrive’.
