Gloucester City Homes (GCH) is delighted to announce that it has been reaccredited against the British Standards Institute ISO 9001:2015 standard for ensuring it has quality management systems in place linked to risk-based approaches. The re-accreditation was made following a two day inspection in June 2020.
The inspection which takes place every 6 months was undertaken differently during the period of ‘lockdown’ and was conducted virtually. The inspection reviewed the quality management system including the Corporate Plan, management of risk, COVID-19 protocols and risk assessments and internal audits.
Asif Bhatti, Chair of GCH’s Board said “I am delighted that we have been re-accredited against the demanding standards of ISO and under such unusual circumstances. This award ensures delivery of high quality services to all GCH tenants.”
The inspection report recognised that quality management processes in place focus on delivering effective services to customers and support the strategic direction of the organisation. This is evidenced by the effective management system in place and through pro-active interactions the auditor had with employees and the management team.
Emma Ball, Business Improvement and Assurance Manager added “All tenants can be assured that we have systems in place to manage their homes and tenancies effectively and fairly. Everyone at GCH has worked hard to meet the standard which is evident in the report which raised no areas of non-conformance. During the inspection, the Inspector was impressed by the evidence we were able to provide to demonstrate the commitment to delivering high quality services to our customers. The inspector noted the accuracy of the information and the good control demonstrated, with any issues identified and resolved quickly. She described GCH as friendly, well-structured and people orientated.”
