GCH is “over the moon” to be rated highly in a recent intensive In Depth Assessment by the Regulator of Social Housing that takes place every four years. It has passed the intensive regulatory review with flying colours maintaining the highest level governance rating (G1) and the second highest rating for its viability (V2).
Ashley Green, Chief Executive at GCH comments “I am absolutely delighted at this outcome after months of hard work by everyone at GCH. The inspection demonstrates the consistently strong leadership supported by robust Board oversight and scrutiny on all key decisions on behalf of our tenants.
He said, “This a great result for GCH and demonstrates the hard work and commitment of our staff and the Board. Also, the Regulator’s highly scored Viability Rating provides our tenants and staff with a sustainable platform for continued growth in our tenant services, investment in stock and the future delivery of new homes.”
Asif Bhatti, Chair of the Board added “This is a tremendous achievement for every GCH tenant and is testimony to the hard work and dedication of the entire GCH team. The process started in late December with the final interviews and evidence submitted by the end of April. We completed the inspection in 18 weeks whilst dealing with the significant implications and management of the coronavirus pandemic during this time to maintain essential tenant services throughout. This is a magnificent achievement”
Chair of Tenant Panel, James Smith added “I am very proud of what we have achieved, where the tenants have such a strong voice and influence in GCH’s decision making when taking tenant views into account. This has to be of a great reassurance to tenants that GCH listen to their tenants to provide the best services possible.”
