The Regulator for Social Housing has announced that Gloucester City Homes (GCH) has passed its annual regulatory review, known as a stability check.
The Regulator performs the check on all providers with 1000+ homes. Following both an in-depth assessment in 2020 and the annual stability check, GCH maintains its high G1/V2 rating for its governance and viability.
Anne Southern, Director of Finance at GCH comments “This is excellent news and reflects the hard work of GCH staff. It demonstrates that the Regulator sees GCH as capable of meeting the opportunities and challenges faced in providing good quality homes and services to our customers. This news means that we are in a good position to continue both improving our existing properties and building much needed new homes.
The checks include a financially focused assessment of business plans and accounts; looking at indicators of financial robustness and evidence of significant changes to risk. Performance is also reviewed against value for money targets and compared to other similar housing organisations.”
