Background for domestic abuse support from GCH

Domestic abuse consultation

Gloucestershire Domestic Abuse Local Partnership Board wants to learn about people’s lived experience of domestic abuse so that they can assess the level of need in the county. They’ve asked us to share their consultation surveys for victims/survivors of domestic abuse; perpetrators; professionals’ responses to domestic abuse; and people who have experienced domestic abuse within their community.

Please click on the survey that’s most appropriate for you to complete.

Survivor

This survey aims to understand the lived experience of domestic abuse further from the perspective of those who have experienced domestic abuse.

Perpetrator

This survey aims to understand the lived experience of domestic abuse further from the perspective of those who have perpetrated domestic abuse and used harmful behaviours in their relationships. We would like to hear from people who have, either now or in the past, used any behaviour that could be described as domestic abuse or have been told by someone else (such as a partner or family member) that you have used harmful behaviour in a relationship (e.g. with a partner, family member)

Professionals

This survey aims to understand the lived experience of domestic abuse within Gloucestershire from the perspective of those who support individuals who have experienced or perpetrated domestic abuse.

Community

This survey aims to understand the lived experience of domestic abuse within Gloucestershire from the perspective of those who have experienced domestic abuse within their community or are supporting someone they know.

All responses will be recorded anonymously. The results of the surveys will be used by the Gloucestershire Domestic Abuse Local Partnership Board to inform the new domestic abuse strategy and services for the county.
