Disruption to local Benefit Payments
Gloucester City Council have announced that following a cyber incident they are experiencing some disruption to services and residents may experience delays but are working hard to minimise the impact. The disruption includes their Revenues and Benefits systems and currently they are unable to determine accurate amounts for Housing Benefit, Council Tax Support or Discretionary Housing Payments. This means that some tenants won’t be able to gain a clear picture of their rent account.
If you would like to find out more about your entitlement, please use our online calculator and if you would like to review this with the Tenancy Sustainment Team please get in touch and they will work with your Income Account Manager to set a reasonable payment plan to prevent arrears accruing on your account during this period. As the situation is still being investigated it is unfortunately not possible for Gloucester City Council to give a current timeframe for when the systems will be fully functioning.
Please contact us if you have any concerns or queries and we will try to help you.
