Community brought together by summer event
The 2nd September saw the Fountain Square Community brought together for the first time since before COVID-19 as GCH held a Summer Celebration Event.
The event invited members of the Fountain Square Community to come and enjoy a hot meal, either Chicken or Butternut Squash Curry provided by The Long Table, enjoy live music and a range of activities such as gardening and crafts. The event also gave residents chance to speak to GCH staff about any concerns they have about their community and about how to keep their home safe.
Mandi Holt, Community Investment & Engagement Lead at GCH said, “It’s brilliant to be able to hold events like this again after COVID-19. Having launched the Fountain Square Community Hub at the start of this year we know what a great community there is here and it is fantastic to see it full of life again.”
