Celebrating 10 years as an independent housing association

Today we planted two fruit trees to mark our 10th year as an Independent Housing Association.

Recognising this significant milestone, earlier today current GCH colleagues alongside former Chief Executive, Ashley Green and previous Chairs Asif Bhatti and Tim Dare, planted commemorative fruit trees at our newest scheme, Hewmar House.

It’s been quite a journey! The transfer of housing stock from Gloucester City Council in 2015 to GCH as an independent housing association has enabled us to invest over £165 million in both existing and new homes for the people of Gloucestershire.

"We hope that the trees and garden will become a place of refuge and wellbeing to future residents. Hewmar House is a significant reminder of how far GCH has come in the past 10 years, offering a new level of supported accommodation for young people, which the City desperately needs."
