The former pub has been closed since 2015 and has since sat empty. In conjunction with award-winning local developer Cape Homes Limited we are pleased that the building has now been demolished to make way for the much-anticipated modern apartments.

The building will consist of 17 one bed and 6 two bed flats for affordable rent due for completion in Spring 2022 and has been supported by grant funding from Homes England.

Robert Panou, Head of Development and Assets at GCH says, “As the ongoing Pandemic has highlighted the importance of safe and warm homes, we are excited to work on our first redevelopment project during this period as this enables derelict buildings to be transformed into much needed affordable housing for local Gloucester residents whilst improving the local area. We are also pleased to be working with Cape Homes again who have a growing track record of delivering high quality, affordable homes in the city centre.”
